His bizarre claims

Updated: Jul 9, 2020

Religious devotee or man man?

The study of demons, of fell monsters, of evil covens that have infiltrated society have long been the subject of religious orders, especially that of monasteries. The fact that Scozze would be writing about such things should come as no surprise. However, he doesn't write about these things as a philosophical exercise or even at a distance, as Thomas Aquinas might have done.

No, Scozze writes about these things as if he has first hand, personal knowledge about them.

And this is not an interpretation, either. I've spoken with some people who know him and have discussed this issues with him, and he has been quoted as saying, "I know because I know. I know because I've been there."

Scozze has been writing now for almost fifty years, and has created volume after volume detailing stories of demonic possession, ghosts, ghastly murders, werewolves, witches, wizards, vampires, etc. These stretch back thousands and thousands of years. Even if all of these creatures actually existed, there is no way in a normal human lifetime he could possibly have experienced all these things.

And yet...yet there is a compelling nature to the stories he tells, almost as if he had been there.

So, is he mad, or...something else?

Who is he?!
